![]() ![]() I’m sharing here the compiled core if you want to try and also the steps to compile it yourself, if it doesn’t work for you. Inspired by sbielmann’s advice of trying to compile the 4do-libretro core to see if it works (on this post) and having succeeded at that, I tried the same with scummvm-libretro and it worked! Setting a dummy text file with the name will allow LB to launch the game with the above settings.I have successfully managed to add a valid ScummVM core to RetroArch on the GameShell, seeing that just dowloading it from the RetroArch Cores menu didn’t work. ![]() See below example.ĥ) If you want to find the game IDs for other new games just open up the ScummVM emulator and go to the game after you added it and click "Edit Game" and will see ID on first tab. If you open the text file and also insert the game ID (i.e., the same as title without extension) then Retroarch will also work in addition to normal emulator installed above.ĥ) Then add the "rom" like normal within LB by pointing it to the bladerunner-win.scummvm file. The extension can be anything but I use scummvm since that is also what Retroarch likes. In the case of Blade Runner, it is bladerunner-win. All other settings are taken from your INI file.Ĥ) Go to the directory with a new game and make a text file with the name of the Game ID. The -f just tells it to go to full screen. ScummVM -c "G:\Emulators\ScummVM\ScummVM\scummvm.ini" -no-console -f Since you are not using batch files you can go another route in the mean time.ġ) Add the new ScummVM emulator EXE path like any other emulator (version 2.1.0 downloaded from ScummVM site).Ģ) make sure to to check "don't use quotes" and the "use file name only without extension."ģ) In the default command line parameters insert command that points to location of your scummvm.ini which can be anywhere but in my case I keep with the EXE location rather in my User directory so it is portable: LB wouldn't know which codes they were or what games were to be supported until ScummVM folks finalized things. Additionally, the built in settings within LB will need to be updated to reflect the new codes that are supported in 2.1.0 which is why you don't see them in LB. The version that comes with LB isn't updated yet to 2.1.0 (after all ScummVM was just finalized today). Duckman: The Graphic Adventures of a Private Dick. ![]() All this done by the hard work of 147 contributors across 8,493 commits. This release is the culmination of nearly two years worth of work, adding 16 new games based on 8 engines, a Nintendo Switch port and nearly 500 bug fixes. ScummVM Team is thrilled to announce the release of ScummVM version 2.1.0. I'm thinking because Blade Runner is not in the list (forcing me to select a random game), I'm getting the error? I've got 28 other scumm games that all work perfectly using this method, I could never get the method used in the Youtube tutorials to work for me. then I select "What game is it?" and select it from the list. I don't use batch files to run the ScummVM games, I just point Launchbox to my game folder under the "scummvm" tab. but if I run it through Launchbox I get a game data error. I can get Blade Runner to play if I run the emulator manually. Hi there, can we add the new ScummVM games to the "What game is it?" section for the built-in ScummVM emulator? ![]()
